As part of OnIT Cloud (subsidiary of Outline India), we invite you to join forces with your fellow full stack developers, engineers, and analysts to collaborate and innovate for a fun Hackathon.

Three finalist teams will be selected and announced and will have the opportunity to be recognized in local technical community and also win a prize of 51,000Rs and 31,000Rs and 11,000Rs respectively.

WHEN PLANNING YOUR HACKATHON PROJECT, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO FOCUS ON ONE OF THESE THREE ISSUES:

A topic or use case will be provided once the teams are finalized and 48hrs will be given to complete the hackathon project.

  • 1.) Front End Application to showcase skills using Angular 10+ with greater knowledge of Typescript and RxJS. Not login or auth required for this exercise. Doing so may get extra points only if other parts are complete.
  • 2.) Showcase your team’s backend knowledge using C# with .Net Core APIs, Linq and SQL with Sql Express.
    Write APIs to fetch and perform an analysis that gives insights into the causes or solutions for the give use case.
  • 3.) Showcase DevSecOps/DevOps skills by building terraform scripts for server setup on AWS or Azure using IaC.
  • 4.) Bonus Points: Build and showcase a small app in flutter using the same APIs built in step 2.

PRIZES

Grand Prize Winning Team

The top team will be announced after the Hackathon day (will be announced after 8+ participation teams are confirmed). Team will win Rs. 51,000 and on recognition in social media on Facebook, LinkedIn and twitter. Also each member of the team will also receive free training and VIP passes to the Outline annual party

2nd Place Winning Team

The 2nd place team will be announced after the Hackathon day (will be announced after 8+ participation is confirmed). Team will win Rs. 31,000 and on recognition in social media on Facebook, LinkedIn and twitter. Also each member of the team will also receive free training and VIP passes to the Outline annual party.

3rd Place Winning Team

The 3rd place team will be announced after the Hackathon day (will be announced after 8+ participation is confirmed). Team will win Rs. 11,000 and on recognition in social media on Facebook, LinkedIn and twitter. Also each member of the team will also receive free training and VIP passes to the Outline annual party

ELIGIBILITY

Participants: Individuals must be at least 18 years in age.

Team size: Up to 4 people are allowed to submit a project together as team. Each person must be registered through devpost.

Location: Individuals must be located where this hackathon is allowed by law and must follow the submission requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

STEPS TO PARTICIPATE:
Step 1:
BUILD YOUR TEAM. Your team can have up to 4 participants and must be registered <> as participating in the hackathon. Must create their account in slack and also have a github account
Step 2:
Create and build a compelling small application.

Create a compelling application that helps us understand the “world’s toughest problems” above in new and unique ways. Build an application which allows end-users to understand data around the “world’s toughest problems” described above.

Step 3:
Record a video screencast (<= 280 seconds) demonstrating the application, providing commentary answering the following questions:
  • • Why did you choose this topic?
  • • Explain your dataset selection
  • • How does your project help or might help solve these problems?
Step 4:
Submit the video + notebook/application source (github link) to the challenge.

JUDGING CRITERIA

  • Quality of Code: How have you combined relevant and interesting datasets as part of your analysis or application?
  • Originality: Has this been just copied from github, or is this a new and original idea
  • Completeness: Your application is easy for the end user to understand, and it provides relevant and insightful information. Your submission follows the challenge requirements.
  • Application of Relevant technologies: You’re using technologies presented at challenge in an interesting and meaningful way.
